Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed proposals that outline the scope of work and pricing
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Clients throughout the design and implementation stages
  • Conduct site assessments and participate in meetings to gather essential information for project estimates
  • Generate estimates for labor, equipment, and materials, including detailed bills of materials
  • Draft scopes of work in partnership with operations staff
  • Research materials and document specifications
  • Engage in project design review sessions as needed
  • Coordinate with material suppliers for special pricing requests
  • Work with the purchasing department to order materials for awarded projects

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a successful estimator in the security, IT, or technology sales sectors, or relevant installation experience/training in access control systems, low voltage wiring, and CCTV systems
  • Familiarity with low voltage hardware and devices (installation experience is advantageous)
  • Solid understanding of network protocols
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Visio for design documentation
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings
  • Must pass a Department of Criminal Justice Background Check
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Capability to stand, walk, and bend as required
  • Must have color vision to interpret plans

Additional Expectations:

  • Availability to work Monday – Friday from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; additional hours may be necessary
  • Must maintain a satisfactory background record
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required
