Job Summary

We are seeking an Energy Associate to join our team in Boston or DC office. As an Energy Associate, you will work as part of a team on consulting engagements, developing problem-solving approaches, project management, and preparing client deliverables. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in new areas, and contribute to the growth and success of our firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis on energy-related topics, including market design, transmission planning, and renewable energy procurements.
  • Develop and apply econometric and statistical models to analyze industry data and inform client decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior experts to develop problem-solving approaches and project management plans.
  • Prepare client deliverables, including reports, presentations, and expert testimony.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • PhD in Economics, Public Policy, or related field with a strong foundation in quantitative analysis.
  • OR MBA or Master's degree with a focus in Economics and 4+ years of research or professional experience in a related field.
  • Strong background in economics and/or finance and interest in the energy sector.
  • Exceptional writing, presentation, and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong analytic, quantitative, and practical problem-solving skills, including econometrics, statistics, programming, modeling, or applied mathematics.
  • Flexibility to use a variety of conceptual frameworks and analytical tools from across different disciplines.
  • Intellectual curiosity and an entrepreneurial drive.
  • Strong relationship and team-building skills.
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
