Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Flamingo Bowl. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our bowling equipment and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on bowling equipment, including pinspotters, pinsetters, and other related machinery.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures and operating protocols as required by Flamingo Bowl and OSHA.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized shop and machine area at all times.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Follow the preventive maintenance program for all center equipment, including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks.
  • Emergency Response: Quickly and safely respond to pin jams, ball return calls, and other malfunctions while bowling is in progress.
  • Assistance: Assist in performing general and emergency maintenance repairs as directed by the supervisor.
  • Availability: Be available to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays, as well as extended workdays to support business needs.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Mechanics must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common technical manuals and schematics. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, and/or regulatory agencies. Effectively communicate pertinent information to center management. Apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of practical problems.
  • Education and Experience: Relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds with help and/or assistance.
  • Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a bowling center environment where high levels of noise, dust, and activity can be expected. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
