The Wright Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatrist to join our team as a Core Faculty member in our Psychiatry Residency Program. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in the education and training of our residents, while also providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Precept residents in outpatient and inpatient settings, providing guidance and mentorship to help them develop their clinical skills.
- Lead didactic conferences, sharing your expertise and knowledge with residents and other faculty members.
- Participate in curriculum development, ensuring that our program remains current and relevant.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of educational programs, workshops, and other initiatives that support the learning and growth of our residents.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to ensure that our program is meeting its goals and objectives.
- Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and medication management.
- Document all patient interactions and care in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in psychiatry, attending conferences, workshops, and other educational events as needed.
- MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a psychiatric residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
- Board certification in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (AOBNP).
- Current DEA certification.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- No history of professional misconduct, as documented by the National Data Bank, Child Abuse, and Criminal History clearances.
- Valid physician license for the State of Pennsylvania.
- Previous leadership and administrative experience, preferably in a psychiatric residency program.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, faculty, and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of organization and time management skills.
- Previous experience as a core faculty member in a psychiatric residency program.
- Recent scholarly activity, such as publication of original research or review articles in peer-reviewed journals.
- Participation in national committees or other professional organizations.
