About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team at Abilities First, Inc. as a Speech Pathologist - School Program. This is a full-time position responsible for providing speech therapy services to students in our school-age programs serving students 5-21 years of age.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized speech therapy programs for assigned caseload, including initial evaluations, periodic re-evaluations, and program planning.
  • Collaborate with classroom staff, counselors, and other related services to schedule and coordinate speech therapy sessions.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and program implementation.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of student treatment plans.
  • Assist in the maintenance of treatment sites and provide departmental support as needed.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited College/University.
  • Licensed by the New York State Department of Education as a Speech Pathologist.
  • NYS teacher certification required.
  • Experience with oral motor, dysphagia, and augmentative communications is highly desirable.
