Job OverviewMiller Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Project Manager to oversee and manage refrigeration projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in construction or refrigeration project management, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational abilities.Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with senior project managers to evaluate and develop project scope of work based on various documents, including bid/construction drawings, customer scope documents, project specifications, and site photos.
  • Establish project objectives, scope parameters, and communicate overall project details with subcontractors, vendors, architectural and engineering consultants, and customers.
  • Review plans to identify required subcontractors and provide take-offs for equipment and materials.
  • Prepare scope of work documents to effectively communicate project details to the construction team.
  • Prepare overall bids consisting of multiple subcontractors, vendors, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Review subcontractor and vendor bids to ensure inclusion of required project details.
  • Conduct cost analysis using project data to ensure accuracy of bids.
  • Implement value engineering to analyze scope of project and provide optimal or alternate solutions to reduce cost and work within budgets.
  • Communicate scope-related questions (RFIs) to architects, engineers, customers, and other stakeholders to qualify scopes for bidding purposes.
  • Prepare project schedules for bidding and project management purposes.
  • Document project details through the company's project management software.
  • Review purchase orders and contracts prior to project start.
Qualifications and Education
  • 3-5 years of construction or refrigeration project management experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Team-oriented with ability to effectively collaborate with others.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team while being self-motivated.
  • Strong work ethic, dependable, and highly motivated.
