Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Experience Associate at WEIS LLC. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating front-end scanning equipment and cash registers, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Smile and greet customers, answer customer questions, and help resolve customer concerns in a polite and professional manner.
    • Follow company policies relating to customer checkout to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Operations
    • Operate front-end scanning equipment and cash registers.
    • Perform all related checkout procedures, including properly and efficiently bagging merchandise and placing merchandise in customers' carts.
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain accuracy during transactions, ensuring customers are charged for all items and appropriate funds are collected.
    • Maintain proper security measures and cash drawer accounting procedures, avoiding overages and/or shortages.
  • Store Maintenance
    • Maintain knowledge of weekly ads, marketing promotions, and store layout to answer customer questions.
    • Responsible for general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and department guidelines to ensure work areas, equipment, counters, display cases, etc. are well maintained, clean, and meet all health and OSHA requirements.
  • Teamwork
    • Ensure smooth function of the department and store by cooperating with coworkers and supervisors.
    • Responsible to continuously improve job performance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
    • No prior experience required.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
