We are seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to lead our firm's Employment Class Action practice. This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney with a strong background in labor and employment law, who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to drive case success.

The successful candidate will have complete autonomy over their caseload, guiding their team through every phase of litigation. With a strong focus on teamwork, they will foster a collaborative environment while driving case success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Caseload Management: Carry their own caseload with complete autonomy, ensuring all cases are managed effectively and efficiently.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a dedicated team of Associates, Paralegals, and Assistants, mentoring and developing junior staff.
  • Motion Practice and Litigation: Ability to draft or supervise the drafting or winning arguments on key motions necessary to effectively litigate a matter.
  • Legal Strategy: Develop and implement legal strategies aimed at resolving cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients.
  • Depositions and Conferences: Take and manage depositions, and conduct meet and confers to advance case objectives.
  • Mediation and Negotiations: Help prepare for and participate in mediation, and otherwise assist in negotiations to resolve employment matters on a class or individual basis as appropriate.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • At least seven years of experience as an attorney, with a minimum of 5 years in labor and employment law and/or class action work.
  • Proven experience serving as Lead Attorney.
  • Superior analytical and legal research skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, including effective time management and the capacity to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of the California Labor Code, with the ability to apply it effectively in litigation and client advisement.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing legal teams, with a focus on mentoring and developing junior staff.

Estimated Salary Range: $200,000 - $300,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
