Aerotek is seeking a skilled Structures Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our aircraft repair team, you will be responsible for performing repairs to sheet metal and composite components on a variety of airframes.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and Fabrication: With moderate supervision, perform repairs in compliance with Service Bulletins (SB's) and Airworthiness Directives (AD's) and standard fabrication practices of sheet metal and composite components of aircraft in accordance with manufacturer's specifications, company-approved procedures, and customer specifications in a timely manner in a clean, safe, and professional manner with minimal rework.
- Fitting and Installation: Perform fitting and installation of fabricated parts and manufactured parts. Propose and seek approval for alternate installation and fabrication processes as needed to complete the task to the highest degree of quality and efficiency. Assist with troubleshooting of structural-related tasks.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Prepare various documents for record-keeping purposes, as required by Company policy and FAA regulations (i.e., turnovers, removal sheets, personal training log, etc.). Demonstrate proficiency of Duncan Aviation work order system by completing accurate and timely discrepancies and corrective action statements, SB's and AD Compliance statements, final inspection, and closing of squawks and work orders.
We are looking for a candidate with 2 years of experience in sheet metal, structures, or aircraft maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fabrication practices and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
What We OfferAerotek offers a competitive hourly rate of $25-35, with the potential to reach $40.00 per hour based on experience.
