Space Flight Systems Technician

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Space Flight Systems Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our spacecraft systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the fabrication and repair of cable harnesses for various spaceflight systems
  • Perform second-party verifications and hardware inspections of engineering models, drawings, and specifications
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, and implement corrective actions
  • Support vehicle/launch operations installation of open-ended harnesses
  • Perform mate/de-mate, cleaning, inspection, and testing of harnesses and sub-systems

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-5 years of experience in a direct manufacturing position, preferably in aerospace
  • Experience with harsh environment cable harness assemblies, including power, signal, and high data rate cables
  • Understanding of continuous improvement principles and tools, such as LEAN and Six Sigma
  • Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, and specifications
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
