Job Title: Room Attendant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Room Attendant to join our team at the Woodlands Hotel and Suites. As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guest rooms are clean, comfortable, and meet the high standards of quality that our guests expect.

Responsibilities:

  1. Clean and prepare guest rooms according to the quality standards of Forbes
  2. Change bedding and make beds as directed
  3. Clean floors and walls by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming
  4. Vacuum rooms and hallways, and keep public areas around the cart clean
  5. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
  6. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners
  7. Move and rearrange furniture as needed, turn mattresses, and replenish supplies
  8. Gather and empty trash, deliver items requested by guests to rooms, and ensure guests have all amenities
  9. Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts or by hand as needed
  10. Follow safety and security procedures, notify supervisors of the need for major repairs, and report damage, theft, or found articles

Requirements:

  1. Ability to deal with the public and coworkers with tact and courtesy
  2. Ability to use a vacuum cleaner and comprehend oral and written instructions
  3. Willingness and ability to adhere to applicable grooming and appearance standards
  4. Six months to one year of housekeeping-related experience
  5. Proficiency in English
  6. Availability to work all shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

  1. Performing heavy cleaning, high and low dusting, transporting objects weighing up to 60 pounds, and a great amount of walking in all types of weather
  2. Lifting, standing, and bending up to 8+ hours daily

  2. Show respect for and cooperate at all times with those for whom and with whom you work
  3. Report to work as scheduled and on time, meet appearance standards, and perform assigned tasks accurately and on time
