Position Overview
The Pharmacy Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in aligning the operational strategies of the infusion pharmacies with the overarching business objectives. This position is responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of operational activities to ensure that all processes are efficient and meet the needs of stakeholders.

- Oversee clinical, technical, financial, and administrative functions related to medication procurement and patient management.
- Provide managerial support to all personnel within the designated pharmacies.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and fulfill all medication requirements.
- Supervise and mentor team members, including transitional care coordinators, pharmacy technicians, and nursing staff.
- Manage pharmacist scheduling and ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Conduct internal audits to verify compliance and operational efficiency.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to team members.
- Collaborate with purchasing and receiving departments to maintain optimal inventory levels and billing processes.
- Oversee the referral, insurance verification, and authorization processes.
- Audit and manage pharmacy inventory and supplies, ensuring accurate order packing and replenishment.
- Work closely with pharmacists to maintain a sterile compounding environment and proper storage for medications.
- Organize and maintain safe and adequately stocked areas for compounding and dispensing.
- Develop and implement cross-training programs for pharmacy staff and nursing personnel.
- Analyze performance data to create initiatives that enhance outcomes and reporting.
- Promote and integrate the Simplify My Meds Program to maximize participation and provide medication therapy management as needed.
- Must be a licensed pharmacist in good standing with the relevant state board.
- A minimum of five years of experience as a pharmacist.
- Previous management or supervisory experience is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to lead effectively in a team environment.
- Extended periods of sitting and working on a computer.
- Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
- Onsite work at infusion pharmacy locations.
- Standard Monday to Friday hours with an on-call rotation.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods.
