ESL Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified ESL Instructor to join our team at Computer Systems Institute Inc.

This is a full-time position teaching Academic English courses to international students.

• Taught courses in Academic English, utilizing pedagogical methods and materials to engage students.
• Developed lesson plans as part of administrative tasks per class assignment, ensuring effective curriculum delivery.
• Delivered lectures and facilitated project-based learning (PBL), promoting student participation and growth.
• Evaluated and monitored students' progress, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
• Maintained necessary records to report student academic progress (SAP) to supervisors.
• Attended quarterly ESL instructor in-service meetings, staying updated on best practices and trends.
• Participated in professional development activities outside of CSI, enhancing knowledge and skills in ESL studies.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A Master's Degree in ESL/EFL, TESOL, Applied Linguistics or Linguistics, or a related field.
• At least two years of prior teaching experience, preferably in an academic setting.
• Native or near-native ability to speak English.
• Knowledge of language teaching methodology, linguistics, second language acquisition, and intercultural communication.

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000-$70,000 annually, based on location and experience.
