We are seeking a skilled and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse to join our team at HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital. As a critical care nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Manage the nursing care of critically ill patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Carry out physician orders, administer prescribed medications, and monitor vital signs.
- Provide respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients.
- Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Instruct and educate patients and families.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Provide age and culturally appropriate care.
- Orient and mentor new staff members.
- Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- Current FL RN Licensure or recognized Compact Licensure.
- Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider and ACLS.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- ICU experience required.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility in Okeechobee County. We offer inpatient and outpatient services, and are licensed by Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration as a Primary Stroke Center. We provide diagnostic services accredited by the American College of Radiology, and our Hospital's surgical services include minimally invasive procedures.
