We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in the Outpatient Department. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, compound, and dispense medications according to laws, policies, and regulations governing pharmacists and pharmacy practice.
- Optimize drug therapy by identifying, resolving, and preventing drug-related problems and adverse drug events.
- Consult with patients regarding medication questions, concerns, and instructions as needed.
- Review and evaluate physicians' medication orders for completeness and appropriateness prior to dispensing.
- Document and report clinical interventions in the safety system and detect and report adverse drug reactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work within a collaborative team-focused environment.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to changes and accept additional responsibilities based on the changing needs of the work setting.
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills and resolve typically encountered problems within their scope of practice.
