Cloud Engineer

BCT is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to manage the company's Cloud Services. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in cloud computing and be proficient in Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and AWS.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and improve current systems and implement new solutions
  • Partner with engineering and development teams to identify optimal cloud solutions
  • Implement configuration changes and assist in design of cloud-related solutions
  • Identify and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
  • Create servers and appliances, including email, file, print, database, document management, directory services, and backup servers, plus their associated operating systems and applications
  • Create and manage end-user network and system accounts, permissions, and access rights
  • Design hardware and software solutions and troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Work with team members to design and suggest optimal network design topologies and configurations
  • Implement system and data backup/recovery and assist in development and maintenance of business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response plans
  • Respond to emergency conditions in accordance with appropriate plans

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or associate's degree in a technology or business-related field preferred
  • At least five years of relevant work experience with an expert customer service attitude and focus
  • Minimum three years of experience in the field of cloud computing
  • Certifications preferred are Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services
  • Proficient with cloud technologies like Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS, cloud monitoring, and alerting services
  • Knowledge of network protocols and fundamentals like TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP/S, SFTP, LDAP, ARP, network troubleshooting tools like traceroute, ping, etc.
  • Proven experience in developing business cases and plans which are detailed and actionable
  • Self-starter, expert attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, prioritize tasks with strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills required
