Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist III

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist III to join our team at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs. As a key member of our cardiovascular services department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of technical skills during Interventional Cardiovascular, Non-ablation Electrophysiology, or Interventional Radiology procedures to provide an efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of all patients.
- Be proficient in all aspects of angiography, preparation, assessment, documentation, and monitoring consistent with the policies, procedures, and processes of the Cardiovascular Services department and Hospital Administration.
- Adhere to the guidelines and standards of professional practice associations and actively participate in outstanding customer service.
- Follow CDC isolation guidelines, appropriately use PPE, and perform hand hygiene according to accepted standards of care.
- Identify and prepare patients using aseptic technique as dictated by procedure ordered, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and enforce safety regulations.
- Verify orders and facilitate implementation, communicating with physicians as needed, and perform treatments and administer medications according to policy and training.
- Function appropriately in clinical emergencies, evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and medications, and perform within the bounds of the applicable scope of practice for Cardiovascular Invasive Lab Technologists.
- Maintain the authenticity and security of patient records, and follow prescribed processes for amending documents.
- Perform effectively in all three procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in a therapeutic cardiac laboratory team based on the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals Scope of Practice.
- Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds (in hospital) per policy.
- Associate degree or Bachelor's in Cardiovascular Technology, Emergency Medical Services, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Must possess and maintain one of the following: Current valid State of Florida or multi-state license as a Registered Nurse (RN), Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R)), Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Nationally Registered Paramedic (NREMT-P).
- Cardiovascular Lab experience.
- Interventional Radiology Lab experience.
- Peripheral Lab experience.
- Electrophysiology Lab experience.
