Job Overview

WHOLLY GRINDS INC is on the lookout for a friendly and knowledgeable Coffee Specialist who is enthusiastic about beverage crafting and customer interaction. This role involves welcoming patrons, responding to inquiries, processing orders and payments, as well as preparing and serving a variety of food and drinks. You will also ensure a tidy and well-stocked environment, refresh displays, and continuously enhance your understanding of beverage quality standards, preparation techniques, and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly, inform them about daily specials or new offerings, address their questions, and handle orders and payments.
  • Prepare food items, including sandwiches and baked goods, grind and blend coffee beans, brew coffee and tea, and serve products to customers.
  • Package food and beverages for sale.
  • Promote coffee and tea blends along with brewing equipment, explaining the distinctions between products and educating customers on brewing techniques.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work and dining areas, dispose of waste, and sanitize equipment and utensils.
  • Enhance your knowledge of brewing techniques, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation methods to elevate food quality.
  • Update signage and displays to attract customer attention.
  • Manage inventory and restock items as necessary.
  • Collaborate as part of a dynamic, enthusiastic team.
  • Comply with all food safety regulations and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service is preferred.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing training and learning about food and beverage preparation.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Physical ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Availability to work during peak hours, including early mornings, late afternoons, weekends, and holidays.
  • A warm, engaging, and courteous demeanor.
  • Dedication to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Ability to thrive as part of a lively, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.
