Job Overview

Sparrow Company is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and coordinating maintenance activities and personnel to ensure optimal machinery performance and minimum downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance programs and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Lead a team of maintenance personnel to perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, including electrical and mechanical repairs.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to ensure seamless interdepartmental activities.
  • Manage operating and capital budgets, and provide accurate cost forecasting in coordination with the Vice President of Finance.
  • Develop and train employees to build a strong maintenance team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or Management.
  • 5 years of experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance repairs.
  • Experience with MS Office and CMMS software.
  • Technical schooling in the cement process, preventive/predictive maintenance, and detail machinist experience not required but recommended.
  • Familiarity with cement process equipment.
  • Ability to make technical evaluations of machine performance and formulate specific solutions to problems identified.
