Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' respiratory needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement and evaluate respiratory therapy treatments, including mechanical ventilation management
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Provide education and instruction to patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy from a CoARC-accredited program
  • 6 months of experience as a Respiratory Therapist at Rutland Regional Medical Center
  • Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Current VT State license
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association
  • Certification in ACLS, PALS, and NRP within 60 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic EKG interpretation skills
  • Knowledge of respiratory care assessment and mechanical ventilation management
  • Ability to administer surfactants to newborns
  • Working knowledge of respiratory equipment and Heliox

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary range: $39.98
  • Hiring bonus agreement: $10,000.00
  • Competitive differentials rates: $4.25 - evenings, $8.00 - nights, $4.75 - weekends
