Job Summary

First Student is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bus Monitor. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational oversight and day-to-day management of bus routes
  • Assist drivers in safe operation of routes, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Communicate with school personnel, students, and parents to ensure a smooth and safe transportation experience
  • Conduct emergency evacuations from the bus and assist with loading and unloading students
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks on the bus

Requirements

  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage high degrees of stress
  • Early morning availability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Judgement and problem-solving skills
