The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Vermont State University is seeking applications for a
Full-Time Nursing Education Faculty Member within the Department of Nursing.

This position is a
one-semester appointment, and we are looking for candidates with expertise in adult medical-surgical nursing, particularly in acute or chronic care settings. Preference will be given to individuals with prior experience in both classroom and clinical instruction.
The selected candidate must be prepared to teach during the upcoming semester.

Key Responsibilities:

The teaching load will average 24 credit hours or the equivalent per academic year, encompassing didactic courses with the potential for clinical instruction. It is anticipated that 4 courses will be delivered each semester. The subjects expected to be taught include adult medical-surgical nursing and additional topics as required. Instruction will be conducted in a face-to-face format. Other responsibilities may include committee participation and academic advising.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing and possess prior clinical experience in the nursing field.
Experience in teaching at the secondary or collegiate level is advantageous.
An active, unencumbered Vermont RN license or eligibility for such a license is mandatory. A valid driver's license is also required.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence and innovation in undergraduate education, engage in ongoing professional development, and work collaboratively with BSN nursing students.


Compensation:

Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience as outlined by the relevant Bargaining Unit Agreement.
