Key Duties & Responsibilities: The responsibilities of Customer Service Associates include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing exceptional customer service in alignment with company standards.
  • Offering in-person assistance to customers throughout the purchasing journey, including payment processing, financing options, and coordinating pickups and deliveries.
  • Supporting team members and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Accurately and efficiently processing cash, credit card, and check transactions.
  • Verifying and reconciling daily cash registers while ensuring the proper handling of funds and adherence to security protocols.
  • Managing returns, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with store policies.
  • Following security measures to deter theft and maintain a safe workplace.
  • Staying informed about current merchandise and promotional offers.
  • Routing calls to the appropriate personnel and delivering messages to sales staff promptly.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Completing and submitting required store reports daily to the corporate office by specified deadlines.
  • Upholding confidentiality and adhering to all credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring that all funds are balanced at the start and end of shifts, as well as during breaks and at closing.
  • Executing daily cash drops securely and in accordance with company expectations.
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized cashier area, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Conducting all job functions with a high level of integrity and honesty.
  • Performing additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by store management.

Required Experience:

  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are necessary.
  • A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • An outgoing, engaging, and enthusiastic demeanor is essential for interacting with customers both in person and over the phone.
  • A welcoming and helpful attitude towards customers and fellow associates.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to current technological systems.
  • Receptive to coaching and feedback.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail are advantageous.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays; regular attendance is crucial.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Able to multitask and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and projecting a positive company image to the public.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is conducted in a retail store environment.
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods, packing and lifting boxes for shipment, managing inventory, and utilizing technological equipment and computers.
