About the Job

The Cincinnati VA Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Geriatrician to join our team as a Medical Director for the Community Living Center (CLC). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, clinical and operational oversight of the CLC, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care to our nation's veterans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including comprehensive management of physical, psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of veterans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and patient outcomes.
  • Support and direct the teaching mission at the CLC, in coordination with the Medical Facility and outside teaching organizations.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, leadership, and patients to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Board certification in Geriatric Medicine and/or Palliative Care.
  • Experience working with veterans and in a long-term care setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
