Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including unit dose, extemporaneous, and parenteral dosage forms.
- Ensure timely delivery of medications to patient care areas and maintain accurate records of medication inventory and usage.
- Prepare controlled substance requests and maintain records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and quality standards.
- Participate in nursing station inspections and contribute to the development of a positive and efficient work environment.
- Current registration with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
- Prior hospital or home health pharmacy experience.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral, to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
