Job Summary

SIMEDHealth is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Care Team Clinic Assistant to join our team in the Gainesville, FL office location. As a Care Team Clinic Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Sleep Lab and Podiatry clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Providers and Medical Assistants: Work closely with our medical team to deliver high-quality patient care in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Patient Rooming and Preparation: Take patient vitals, collect medical history, and reconcile medications to ensure accurate and comprehensive patient care.
  • Exam Room Maintenance: Stock and clean exam rooms between patients, check expired samples and medications, and maintain sharps and biohazard containers.
  • Administrative Support: Monitor patient portal questions, prepare insurance forms, and obtain prior authorizations.
  • Chart Preparation: Review patient charts the day before to ensure all necessary reports are available for visits.
  • Communication: Handle non-clinical phone calls, assist with voicemail, and provide support to the medical team as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required for this role.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficient in utilizing a computer, including Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Outlook.
  • BLS/Basic Life Support: Required for this role.
  • Previous Medical Office Experience: 1-2 years of experience preferred.
