As a Retail Keyholder at GameStop, you will play a vital role in executing and supervising all store activities. You will provide exceptional guest service experiences, ensuring products are easily accessible and purchasable. Your primary goal will be to boost sales by sharing product and gaming knowledge with guests, maintaining a clean and organized shopping environment, and fostering guest loyalty and repeat business.
Key Responsibilities- Provide best-in-class guest service by promptly greeting guests, responding to their questions and concerns, and assisting them in meeting their video gaming needs.
- Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
- Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the Point-of-Sale (POS) computer system, ensuring top-notch guest service.
- Address guest comments or questions in person or on the phone, answering calls promptly, courteously, and professionally.
- Promote GameStop's unique guest benefits, such as the new title reservations program and the Pro Rewards guest loyalty program.
- Ensure that all areas of the store, including restrooms, are clean, organized, and merchandised according to company guidelines.
- Complete Omni-Channel orders daily.
- Safeguard company assets through effective inventory control and loss prevention practices.
- Conduct store inventory counts, stock/restock merchandise on shelves and fixtures, and move products from the stock room to the front of the store.
- Support store management in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals.
- Count, balance, and reconcile daily business transaction totals accurately in the POS system.
- Check shipments for discrepancies or shortages and record any discrepancies in the POS system.
- Process defectives/recalls, and stock pulls accurately and promptly.
- Visually inspect associates' and leaders' packages and/or belongings at store closing or at the end of a shift.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates in the absence of management.
- Consistently adhere to GameStop policies and procedures.
- Follow all opening and closing procedures.
- Observe associate performance and provide timely and appropriate feedback to the store management.
- Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
- Video game knowledge preferred.
- Must be able to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. You must be able to meet associate performance expectations, including attendance, professional dress, and grooming requirements. You will be required to operate the POS computer system and properly complete the required paperwork. Basic math skills and alphabetizing skills are also necessary. Self-motivation and the ability to work as a team to complete necessary tasks in a timely manner are essential. Problem-solving skills and judgment abilities are also required. You must be able to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours/days as necessary, including nights, weekends, and some holidays. Minimum of 3 days/week availability is required.
