Maintenance Technician

Maintain all production machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure efficient operation of the machines and facility.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor production machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure proper and efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and repair or replace defective parts.
- Dismantle machinery and mechanical equipment to remove defective parts and perform repairs.
- Determine and order necessary materials and parts for service and repair.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery.
- Perform changeovers on all machinery as required.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic controls.
- Inspect product for quality defects and notify the process lead and/or supervisor.
- Ensure operations are completed in accordance with Amcor Rigid Plastics USA Inc. safety procedures.
- Effectively communicate with internal departments.
- Maintain a clean work area and perform general housekeeping duties.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Job is performed near moving mechanical parts and occasionally in high, precarious places. Safety glasses are required to be worn. The noise level is loud, requiring hearing protection to be worn. GMP procedures are observed in all areas of the plant.
