Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Northwest Surgical. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Physical Therapy department in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants in patient care activities, including set-ups, transportation, and therapeutic techniques.
  • Maintain inventory of department equipment, linen, and supplies, and perform general clean-up duties as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff, ensuring a positive and supportive environment.
  • Perform receptionist and clerical duties, including scheduling appointments, managing waitlists, and processing patient information.
  • Assist with the distribution of outcome surveys to patients and accurately enter information into patient records.
  • Function as a purchasing coordinator, ordering therapy supplies and equipment, and maintaining inventory of linens.
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of AA and/or at least 2 years of college preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred; strong interest in physical therapy/health professions as a career preferred.
  • Ability to successfully complete Northwest Surgical's Physical Therapy Department training program within two months of employment.
  • Effective organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
