Job Description

The Olympic Tavern, a cherished neighborhood tavern and restaurant, is seeking skilled and enthusiastic culinary specialists to join our kitchen team.

We are in search of line and prep cooks who possess a minimum of two years of experience in fryer and sauté techniques. However, we are open to training candidates who demonstrate a strong willingness to learn. Ideal candidates will exhibit cleanliness, organization, attention to detail, and a quick learning ability, along with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.

Teamwork is essential; therefore, candidates must be able to collaborate effectively with fellow team members and follow instructions from management. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down the kitchen, maintaining a tidy workspace, stocking supplies, preparing ingredients, and cooking. Reliability, punctuality, and dependability are crucial attributes for this role.

Initially, part-time hours will be available, with the potential for full-time employment following a training or trial period. Shifts may include evenings and weekends, with some daytime prep or lunch shifts also possible. Compensation starts at $14 per hour, with potential increases based on skill level and performance, evaluated during a 45-day review period.
