About the Role:


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cardiology Office Nurse to join our team at Cape Cod Healthcare Inc. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care and work closely with our physicians to deliver high-quality medical services.



Responsibilities:

  1. Triage and Evaluate Patients: Assess patient symptoms, obtain medical history, and complete chart documentation under the supervision of the physician.
  2. Communicate with Physicians: Inform physicians of patient symptoms and obtain guidance on resolving issues as needed.
  3. Medication Refills and Management: Obtain patient medication regimens, refill medication orders, and document same under physician supervision.
  4. Assist Other Departments: Collaborate with other departments as needed, such as the Coumadin Clinic.
  5. Respond to Codes: Respond to medical emergencies and assist with medical personnel as needed.
  6. Provide Health Advice: Answer general health questions, provide advice, and refer patients to appointments under physician direction.
  7. Stock and Maintain Pharmaceuticals: Order and stock necessary pharmaceuticals weekly.
  8. Communication and Confidentiality: Maintain patient confidentiality and provide a safe and secure environment.
  9. Developing Skills: Assess personal and learning developmental needs and act as a resource person.
  10. Meetings and Collaboration: Participate in nursing and staff meetings and activities that promote growth and development.
  11. Secretarial Duties: Assist with secretarial duties, including filing, copying, and answering phones.


Requirements:



  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Currently licensed as a professional nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification
  • Experience with current office technology
  • Proficient in computer office applications
  • Minimum of two years experience in a clinical setting preferred
