The University of Kansas Chemistry Department is seeking highly qualified individuals to serve as teaching assistants for undergraduate laboratory courses. As a teaching assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education to our students.
**Duties and Responsibilities
* Administer lab review course content, set assignment due dates, and make course announcements* Supervise laboratory activities, present pre-lab lectures, and actively assist students with experiments* Enforce lab safety and cleanliness protocols, help students with questions, and grade laboratory assignments in a timely manner using provided rubrics* Consult with the General Chemistry Lab Director to ensure course policies are being upheld and promptly respond to student e-mails* Maintain office hours and assist individual students as needed
**Preferred Qualifications
* Undergraduate student in Chemistry or a related field who has completed CHEM 130/135 (or equivalent courses)
