Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team at the Maury Correctional Institution in North Carolina. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care and treatment to patients in accordance with medical protocols in a supervisory capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise daily nursing care on an assigned shift or assigned area
- Coordinate all licensed and non-licensed staff
- Provide patient care and education to offenders in a state correctional facility
- Perform sick call assessments, medication administration, phlebotomy sticks, transcribing MD/PA orders, patient education, thorough medical documentation, monitoring/treatment of communicable diseases, and responding to emergencies
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing principles and techniques to include physical assessments, clinical judgments, treatment planning and evaluation
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina and one year of nursing experience
