Your Role

The Global Enablement team at Palo Alto Networks delivers exceptional training, certification, and digital learning solutions that tackle the most pressing security challenges through continuous innovation, leveraging the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, analytics, automation, and orchestration.

We are in search of a Cybersecurity Training Content Specialist, who possesses prior experience as a solutions engineer, technical educator, or technical author, to craft technical training programs for the Palo Alto Networks product line and the underlying technologies that adapt to the changing landscape of cybersecurity.

In this position, you will collaborate with a dynamic team of Education Services Content Developers to design and sustain technical training resources, including lectures, hands-on lab exercises, and eLearning modules. This highly specialized role emphasizes networking and network security. A thorough understanding of training best practices, technical expertise, and exceptional writing abilities are essential to create engaging learning experiences that address a rapidly evolving field and technology landscape.

As a Cybersecurity Training Content Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
  • Creating, developing, and maintaining technical training materials and curricula that cater to the learning requirements of Palo Alto Networks' product users, both internal and external.
  • Applying your technical knowledge to effectively translate intricate technical concepts into impactful learning solutions for SD-WAN networking and network security technologies.
  • Collaborating closely with engineering, product management, and various cross-functional teams to ensure training aligns with product launch timelines.
  • Conducting alpha, beta, and 'train-the-trainer' sessions globally for diverse audiences as required.
  • Preparing all course and lab materials for delivery, including localization as necessary.
  • Diagnosing and analyzing technical issues related to training lab environments.
  • Adapting swiftly to the fast-paced nature of innovation and updating content in a structured and timely manner.
  • Ensuring the quality of training materials through ongoing testing, troubleshooting, and updating of training content, demonstrations, hands-on labs, and assessments.
  • Meeting deadlines and adjusting priorities as necessary for the timely completion of course-related tasks.
  • Exhibiting the ability to rapidly learn and implement various networking, network security, and firewall technologies.
  • Staying informed about the cyber threat landscape and related technologies spanning general networking, endpoint systems, SaaS, public cloud infrastructure, SD-WAN, and machine learning.
  • Being self-driven, organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Architecture, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical curriculum development, as a technical instructor, or as a solutions engineer.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following domains: Cybersecurity, Networking, Systems Administration, Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with container tools (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Experience in Security is advantageous (IPSEC / SSL-VPN / NAT / GRE).
  • User-level proficiency with Windows, Mac, iOS, and Linux.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capacity to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective knowledge transfer and explaining technical subjects.
  • Proficient in the following software applications:
    • GSuite authoring tools (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
    • Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
    • XML Knowledge and Structured Authoring is a plus
    • Familiarity with Camtasia, Articulate, and Captivate is a plus
