Job Title: Patient Services Technician

Estimated Salary:

$55,000 - $70,000 per year

We are seeking a skilled Patient Services Technician to join our team at First Responder Wellness LP. In this role, you will provide care and services at the detox and residential levels of care, assisting healthcare practitioners and licensed vocational nurses (LVNs) in carrying out patients' treatment plans.

To succeed in this position, you will need a high school diploma, one year of experience in the substance abuse field, and be registered or certified with a DHCS-approved provider. A current valid CA driver's license is also required.

You will work closely with our team to ensure that patients receive safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Responsibilities:

  • Aid in conducting new patient initial assessments and providing orientation to new patients
  • Assess and document patients' needs and care, collaborating with other staff to manage patient care
  • Observe medications and treatments as ordered by the consulting physician, maintaining accurate records as required according to company policies and procedures
  • Ensure infection control practices and reporting procedures are implemented and maintained
  • Respond to emergencies and initiate action as outlined in company policies and procedures
  • Perform basic health screenings, vital signs, and first aid procedures, as necessary, according to company guidelines
  • Conduct urinalysis test collection according to company policies and procedures
  • Maintain communication with LVNs, supervisor, healthcare practitioner, and/or other key staff regarding patient care
  • Support program staff with resident de-escalation and crisis management in a manner which fully supports the needs of the resident
  • Ensure patient compliance with facility rules and guidelines
  • Occasionally drive clients to groups/meetings and/or drive clients from/to the airport
