Key Responsibilities- Assist with Medication Management: Help clients take prescribed medication as directed by their healthcare providers.
- Support Ambulation and Mobility: Assist clients with walking, transferring, and mobility around the house or outside, including accompanying them to doctor's appointments and walks.
- Personal Care and Hygiene: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal care activities.
- Exercise and Therapy Support: Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises to maintain their strength and mobility.
- Shopping and Errands: Accompany clients on shopping trips or assist with grocery shopping and other errands as needed.
- Housekeeping and Meal Preparation: Perform light housekeeping duties, including preparing meals, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Communication and Reporting: Collect information about clients' conditions and treatment plans from healthcare providers, caregivers, and family members, and report any unusual incidents or concerns to the relevant parties.
- Emergency Response: Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency, ensuring the client's safety and well-being.
- Previous Experience: Previous caregiver experience is preferred but not required.
- CPR Certification: Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification is required.
- Health and Safety: Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards and protocols.
- Housekeeping and Cooking Skills: Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding communication, time management, and interpersonal skills are essential for building strong relationships with clients and their families.
- Physical Endurance: Physical endurance to complete required tasks and provide care and support to clients.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
