Chipton-Ross is seeking a dedicated Systems Administrator for a contract role. This position requires full onsite presence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the primary IT support for multiple classified environments by leveraging system administration and architecture expertise.
2. Install and configure Windows operating systems along with various software applications.
3. Conduct regular audits of system security configurations.
4. Implement operating system security patches and firmware updates.
5. Manage and create security groups effectively.
6. Oversee hardware repair processes.
7. Schedule and monitor data backup operations.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
9. Develop scripts to automate system administration tasks.
Required Qualifications:
1. Possession of CompTIA Security+ certification or a higher DoD 8572 qualified certificate.
2. Experience in Operating Systems life cycle management and configuration management, including installation, upgrades, system imaging, account management, and performance monitoring.
3. Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, and Exchange Server management.
4. Familiarity with administering Microsoft Windows Servers.
5. Experience with virtualization tools such as VMWare or Hyper-V.
6. Ability to provide solutions for a range of technical challenges of moderate complexity, requiring thorough research and investigation.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of HP BladeSystem management.
2. Experience with System Center Products, including Endpoint Configuration Manager, Service Manager, Operations Manager, and Orchestrator.
3. Understanding of Linux authentication integrated with Active Directory.
4. Familiarity with restoration and storage services, including NetApp/EMC hardware and disaster recovery practices.
5. Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, and Bash.
6. Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
7. Experience in vulnerability remediation and security management tools.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time, 4/10 work schedule, 1st Shift.
