A qualified Construction Supervisor will oversee one or more teams engaged in aerial and/or underground telecommunications projects. This role is essential for ensuring that the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems are conducted safely, efficiently, and accurately.

At a minimum, candidates should possess a solid understanding of telecommunications construction practices; familiarity with aerial lift equipment, utility infrastructure, and various telecommunications tools; proficiency in using cable installation machinery; and the capability to identify and resolve issues as they arise.

To be successful in this position, candidates must demonstrate, through either training or experience, the following abilities:

  • Ability to work safely, independently or as part of a team;
  • Capability to coordinate and direct the activities of team members;
  • Ability to perform tasks while standing, at shoulder height, and overhead for extended durations;
  • Skill in lifting and maneuvering cable placement tools and equipment;
  • Ability to work at heights using ladders, aerial lifts, or climbing gear;
  • Excellent manual dexterity;
  • Capacity to prioritize and organize workload effectively;
  • Strong communication skills to interact with company personnel, clients, and contractors;
  • Understanding of how to operate equipment such as aerial lifts, cable placement tools, and hand tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, mentor, and lead team members within a designated area or project;
  • Review work assignments and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance;
  • Establish and uphold processes that facilitate task completion in support of assigned projects;
  • Engage with team members, contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure project objectives are met;

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in a relevant field or a minimum of 3 years of related experience;
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role;
  • Project management skills, including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks;
  • Authorization to work in the United States;
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screenings, including drug tests and background checks;

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:


To qualify for this role, candidates must be able to sit for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks, including computer-related duties and other office responsibilities.

Work will take place both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation, as well as in challenging terrains such as rural areas and active construction sites. Noise levels may vary from moderate to loud and can be consistent throughout the workday.
