Job Title: Registration Representative

Job Summary:

As a Registration Representative at Powers Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. Under the direction of the Network Manager and/or Office Supervisor, you will be responsible for greeting and assisting patients and visitors, ascertaining their needs, and directing them accordingly. You will register patients in accordance with established standards and policies, perform front office duties, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Register patients and ensure accurate and up-to-date information is documented in the computer and chart.
  • Perform front office duties, including check-in functions, verifying patient information, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and collecting self-pay monies, co-pays, and patient balances.
  • Provide excellent customer service and interact effectively with patients, physicians, and other hospital staff.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with ease.
  • Meet the minimum education and experience requirements, including a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting.


Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Previous experience with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based desktop applications and PC keyboard data entry skills required.
  • Basic knowledge of computers, office equipment, medical terminology, and health insurance/managed care plans required.
  • CPT/ICD-10 coding knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities necessary.
