Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Assistant Vice President of the 340B Program is tasked with overseeing the registration and participation of all 340B Covered Entities, ensuring compliance with all regulations. This role aims to maximize the utilization of 340B pricing by fostering full participation across all qualified areas, in alignment with objectives set by hospital leadership.

Primary Duties:

  • Ensure completion of annual HRSA recertification for all covered entities and register any new sites as necessary.
  • Maintain expertise in Section 340B regulations and assess the potential impact of changes on the organization.
  • Develop and update 340B policies and procedures in response to regulatory clarifications.
  • Provide training and communication to staff regarding 340B compliance.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Information Services to monitor changes affecting 340B qualifications.
  • Ensure compliance with written agreements between covered entities and contract pharmacies.
  • Oversee 340B participation processes to ensure adherence to policies and patient qualifications.
  • Manage 340B Coordinator/Analyst staff, including audits and resource allocation.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to document utilization and savings.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate from an accredited institution is required.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations is essential.
  • Preferred experience includes three years in acute care hospital leadership and 340B program management.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Active Pharmacist License from the relevant state board is required.
