Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker/Kitchen Helper/Dietary Aide to join our team. As a key member of our food services team, you will assist the cook in preparing and serving meals, ensuring that quality food service is provided to our residents and clients.
Responsibilities- Assist the cook in preparing and serving meals, following established policies and procedures.
- Prepare and deliver food and trays, wash dishes, and clean and sanitize the kitchen according to health standards.
- Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and follow safety precautions.
- Report equipment and cleaning product needs and malfunctions to the supervisor in a timely fashion.
- Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met.
- Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities without supervision.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with specialized training in food service desirable.
- Current ServSafe certification and Food Handler's card are required.
- Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
