Key Responsibilities:
- Complete the ETA - Apprenticeship Agreement and DOL Apprenticeship Application.
- Maintain performance standards; your progress will be regularly assessed, and inadequate performance may lead to removal from the apprenticeship program.
- Collaborate with colleagues to discuss work orders, equipment issues, and task coordination.
- Execute tasks independently under general supervision.
- Interpret and comprehend mechanical schematics.
- Adhere to safety protocols (steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves) and work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
- Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot machinery.
- Conduct routine preventative and predictive maintenance on various machines.
- Perform welding and fabrication of custom machine components and guards.
- Carry out troubleshooting and repair tasks for machinery breakdowns.
- Analyze and review schematic diagrams of mechanical, structural, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to identify malfunctions and understand their operation.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in reading, writing, and effective communication, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Capable of bending, reaching, squatting, and lifting.
- Must meet performance criteria outlined in the OJT Training Outline and Work Process Schedule, including completing a minimum number of credit hours.
- Basic computer skills are advantageous.
- Strong customer service abilities.
- A self-motivated individual who can prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to demonstrate multitasking skills and adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures is essential.
