Climate Change and Child Labor Specialist

Job Title: Climate Change and Child Labor Specialist
Estimated Salary: $65,000 per year (based on 20 days of work at $50-$75 per hour)
This position requires a specialist with expertise in climate change and child labor to support efforts to identify Winrock's unique contributions and capabilities in this space. The consultant will conduct a landscape analysis that highlights current donor thinking and priorities, existing and emerging tools and best practices, and key gaps and recommendations for future work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Landscape analysis – Conduct a comprehensive review of trends and priorities of US Government and other key donors exploring the interlinkages between climate change and child labor.
- Review Winrock's portfolio of programs to determine areas where the organization is poised to make impactful contributions at the intersection of climate change and child labor prevention.
- Develop a SWOT Analysis to synthesize findings from the landscape analysis and program portfolio review highlighting strengths, gaps, and opportunities for leveraging the organization's existing expertise and resources.
Deliverables:
- Landscape analysis report containing a literature review, identification of key gaps, analysis of Winrock's program portfolio, and recommendations for integrating climate change-responsive approaches into existing and future programming.
- A PowerPoint presentation summarizing key findings and recommendations from the literature review and landscape analysis report(s).
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or above in education, international development strongly desirable.
- At least 8 years of work experience in education, child labor, climate change and/or youth development.
- Experience working in the intersection of climate change and child labor required.
- Fluency in written and spoken English required.
