Registered Nurse, 3 East, Night Shift

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver and manage patient care from admission to discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
- Perform patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
- Develop and coordinate individual plans of care, including discharge planning.
- Direct, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical settings.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
- Document patient care according to standard procedure.
- Develop, implement, and document education plans for patients, families, and significant others.
- Ensure quality and continuity of care through collaboration with other healthcare providers.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, therapies, and operate equipment according to policy and procedure.
- Participate in and support Nursing Governance activities.
- Assume responsibility for professional growth and assist in education and development of staff.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrate the use of quality improvement in daily operations.
Requirements:
- Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
- BLS is a requirement for every RN unless advance cardiac life support (ACLS) certification is current, in addition to any unit-specific certifications and competencies.
- Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:
Work is considered medium. Position requires work indoors in a patient care environment.
