About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to ingest, process, and store large volumes of data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data pipelines and infrastructure to support data-intensive applications
  • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to gather data requirements and design data models
  • Implement and optimize data storage solutions, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes
  • Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to cleanse, transform, and integrate data from various sources
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and testing frameworks
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and systems to identify and resolve performance issues or bottlenecks
  • Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with data protection regulations

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced, data-intensive environment
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and data warehousing concepts
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and services (e.g., Airflow, Google Cloud, Iceberg, Hudi)
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data integration, and data governance principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize data processes and pipelines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
