About the Job
Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced Release Engineer for Chassis Controls Software to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and releasing software applications for vehicle chassis controls.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development and release management, with experience working on complex software projects. You will be responsible for guiding supplier partners through the Ford Global Product Development System, supporting driver assist features, and delivering software work packages of the software change management process.
You will also be responsible for investigating Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) issues, including Quality Early Detection (QED), and supporting service manual development. Additionally, you will support prototype vehicle builds, ensure compliance to Central SW requirements, and lead SW Technical Design Reviews (TDRs).
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science, or a related degree, or equivalent experience and education
- 2+ years of experience with design or development in chassis or powertrain controls
- 1+ year of experience with FMEA and related quality assurance processes
