Senior Mobile TV Android App Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mobile TV Android App Developer to join our team at Prosum, a leading provider of streaming platforms for long-form video content. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our SaaS-based OTT video applications for mobile and TV platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality Android TV applications using Java and Android SDK
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with our streaming platforms
  • Implement RESTful APIs and JSON to ensure efficient data exchange
  • Work with video players to deliver exceptional user experiences
  • Develop and maintain DevOps and CI/CD tools, such as Git and Jenkins
  • Apply Agile methodologies, like Scrum and Kanban, to ensure efficient project management
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience in software development, preferably in a SaaS company
  • Strong knowledge of Java and Android SDK
  • Proficiency in Android technology development
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON
  • Familiarity with video players
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD tools, like Git and Jenkins
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, like Scrum and Kanban
  • Good speaking and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on live/vod video streaming platforms/products
  • Knowledge of Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
  • Experience with iOS Objective C or Swift/SwiftUI
  • Understanding of various multimedia transport protocols, such as RTP, RTMP, SRT, UDP, HLS/DASH, etc.
  • Experienced in cryptography, such as SHA/AES/DES/RSA/SSL/TLS, etc.
  • Good understanding of Digital Rights Management Systems (DRM), including Playready, Widevine & FairPlay
