Position Overview:

The Senior Warehouse Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing and participating in the daily activities of the warehouse. This position is responsible for training staff and providing operational direction. Key responsibilities may include receiving shipments, inventory replenishment, and loading outgoing freight.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the management of incoming shipments and ensure accurate processing.
  2. Provide training and operational guidance to team members.
  3. Facilitate the loading of delivery vehicles and manage outbound shipments as required.
  4. Maintain accurate records and documentation as necessary.
  5. Support management in the oversight of outbound dunnage shipments.
  6. Contribute to meeting operational schedules and timelines effectively.
  7. Participate in periodic inventory counts as needed.
  8. Enforce safety protocols and regulations within the workplace.
  9. Attend safety training sessions and meetings as required.
  10. Ensure daily completion of powered equipment checklists by all operational staff.
  11. Achieve operational efficiency and accuracy targets.
  12. Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
  13. Oversee cleanliness and organization within the warehouse on a daily basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; or a combination of education and experience.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Certification to operate powered equipment in compliance with OSHA standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate various warehouse equipment safely.
  • Experience with RF Scanner technology.
  • Familiarity with contemporary warehousing practices and methodologies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
