About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry department at Haywood Regional Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients with complex medical conditions, including respiratory failure and cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program required with a current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in North Carolina or from a Compact State.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • AHA ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience in a critical care or progressive care unit preferred.
