Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

Tenet-AZ Region is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Tucson, Arizona.

Job Summary

Evaluate, plan, and implement treatment programs for individual patients with speech and language disorders, working as an interdisciplinary team member to provide patient assessment, direct care, and individualized care planning.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and interpret tests and measurements of patients to assess speech and language skills.
  • Develop functional goals based on patient and/or family expectations.
  • Develop, improve, and restore cognitive skills, language comprehension, and language expression skills through comprehensive assessment and testing.
  • Seek clarification of physician orders as needed.
Requirements
  • State Licensure and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology/Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Competency in performing modified barium swallow exams (preferred).
